Greg and Karen Orr have set up and run New Zealand Rewinds over the past six years. In that time they have greatly increased the staff, and have opened a second Electric Motor Rewinding shop in Te Puke.

Greg has been in the industry for most of his working life and has thoroughly enjoyed his time in the trade. He says he finds the challenge that everyday is different a great buzz. The work is so varied and you never know from one day to the next what is going to crop up. Greg is a fully qualified tradesman and this benefits the customers, as they know that they can contact Greg for helpful advice at anytime.

Greg’s Wife Karen, runs the office for both firms and is a wiz at creating the advertising and doing market research for the company. Greg and Karen’s son Tim is also employed as a tradesman. Tim is now a qualified Tradesman after working in Australia has returned to New Zealand Rewinds at Mount Maunganui.

We have a new apprentice - Blake Collier who is 18 years old and looking forward to starting his apprenticeship in February 2010. Currently working at New Zealand Rewinds.
