Blake Collier.... Apprentice Electric Motor Rewinder

Blake Collier is New Zealand Rewinds newest Electric Motor Rewinding Apprentice with New Zealand Rewinds and Te Puke Rewinds.

Blake is 20 Years old and Lives in Tauranga. Blake is based at Te Puke Rewinds at present with getting experience in both shops. The work is so varied it is challenging and exciting.

Blake has found the last two years excitingly challenging with starting his apprenticeship and learning to work in a workshop environment, being part of a team.

Blake attends The Bay of Plenty Polytechnic to do his apprenticeship book work and is currently attending two nights a week. Blake has found the start of his career as an electric motor rewinder very rewarding. He finds each job he does different and with  needing different repairs each job is a challenge. The workshop is always busy with customers coming in and bringing in work so dealing with customers has been a new experience too.

Greg and Karen are thrilled with the way Blake has taken up his responsibility with the apprenticeship.

Greg says.... It is really important to take on the young guys as it keeps the trade alive.

Blake is looking forward to what the next year brings in his apprenticeship.
